PRESIDENT BUSH'S PROGRESSED MOON:
Emotional Compass of "W" Influences Events
In early October of 2004, George Bush's PROGRESSED MOON moved
from the more introverted and intense (and sometimes very
controlling and paranoid) sign of SCORPIO into the more outgoing
and freewheeling sign of SAGITTARIUS. This was one indication
of his changing mood and orientation. His PROGRESSED MOON
in SAGITTARIUS showed increased confidence, and then, in his
second term, his apparent change of orientation in many areas
of Foreign Affairs. SAGITTARIUS is the sign most associated
with contact with foreign cultures (and traditionally with
the Arab world).
Each of us has an astrological birth chart MOON position as
well as a PROGRESSED MOON position. The first remains the
same throughout our lives, but the second is continually changing,
moving forward in the zodiac at approximately 1 degree per
month. The MOON is indicative of our most personal internal
life. When a PROGRESSED MOON changes signs, it indicates an
internal change of attitude. Then, as it progresses through
the degrees of that sign, it makes contacts to other planets
in that individual's own chart while simultaneously making
contacts to planets in other charts. This changing scenario
described by the PROGRESSED MOON can help us judge not only
evolving attitudes but also relationships and behaviors that
influence external events.
Bush's MOON is even more important in his chart than it is
for most people. First of all, as a SUN sign CANCER (view
chart), Bush's "Ruling Planet" is the MOON.
This makes his MOON position extremely influential in his
character. Secondly, his MOON-JUPITER conjunction in LIBRA
is very fortunate, showing his naturally optimistic temperament
and sociability, so good for a politician.
The President's Progressed MOON in SAGITTARIUS will mark some
of the events of this term. As it "progresses",
the MOON will connect with various planets in Bush's own chart,
in the charts of others, as well as being impacted by planetary
motions in the sky. His PROGRESSED MOON in the JUPITER ruled
sign of SAGITTARIUS re-emphasizes his MOON-JUPITER tendency
to gamble.
As Bush's Progressed Moon has moved forward in the zodiac
through his chart, it is now separating, and leading, the
rest of his planets. In other words, while the MOON in his
chart is always important, it has become even more so.

all during 2004. During the spring and summer of 2005, Bush's
PROGRESSED MOON is also being strongly impacted by URANUS.
URANUS brings surprises, a desire for freedom, and sometimes
just a desire to be ornery. We can expect continuing as well
as sudden breakdowns, breakups and breakthroughs in our international
relationships. What happens on one day may quickly be reversed
on another day, and then reversed back again. Although unexpected
opportunities may occur, nothing can be counted on as very
stable.
