BUSH AND THE 110th CONGRESS
The US
110th Congress convened on noon, January 4, 2007 (view
chart). At that time, the MOON was VOID OF COURSE. On
such a MOON, the outcome of any action will not unfold according
to the original intention. This indicates that Congress will
not achieve its ambitious goals.
As the
President speaks to the nation tomorrow night about Iraq (view
chart), in the sky there is a war-like and vicious aspect:
MARS (aggression) CONJOINS PLUTO (ultimate power) in the expansive
sign of SAGITTARIUS.
Simultaneously,
Bush’s personal planets (see Astrological Notes) connect
with both the charts of his Speech and with critical planets
in the US chart. At the time of the speech, he is indeed over-stimulated
and aggressive.
President
Bush and the new Congress are at odds. If the President now
wants to send additional troops to Iraq it will be very hard
to stop him. At the same time Bush’s emphasis on Iraq
makes it hard for Congress to accomplish their other goals.
Astrological Notes:
• Bush’s
PROGRESSED MOON exactly contacts this MARS-PLUTO CONJUNCTION
on the Speech chart.
• Bush’s personal PROGRESSED MARS conjoins his
natal MOON, therefore showing him as volatile and aggressive.
• As he begins his speech, the transiting MOON in the
sky will be at 16 LIBRA, conjoining his PROGRESSED MARS and
natal MOON.
