HARRIET MIERS AS ASSOCIATE JUSTICE

Supremely qualified John Roberts is a hard act to follow. The Democrats are prepared to fight hard against any conservative who would replace the "swing vote" of Sandra Day O'Connor and Republicans are now splintering in their opinion of her. Bush's suggestion to trust him on this one recalls Reagan's comment "Trust but verify".

In his nomination of Miers, the President has once again chosen a pioneering powerful woman with whom he has been closely associated for years. Bush has a strong mother, and has relied on other powerful women very loyal to him such as Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Karen Hughes, now in charge of Public Diplomacy. While Laura Bush is a strong and loyal woman herself, I think of this other group as his "intellectual harem".

What does Miers' astrological chart say about her and how does her chart contrast John Roberts' chart? Harriet Miers was born on August 10, 1945 in Dallas, Texas (time unknown)(view chart).

First, Miers has the many ties one would expect from someone so close to Bush. She has significant close ties to Bush in the signs of GEMINI, CANCER, LEO and VIRGO.
