SECOND INAUGURAL CHART OF GEORGE W. BUSH

A two-term President carries with him the imprints of both his first and second Inauguration charts. Although we are at war in Iraq, and facing very severe challenges around the world, the chart of the second Inauguration is not as scary as the first one, which definitely indicated (with MARS in SCORPIO on the 7th cusp) an attack on the President. It is true that someone is always trying to kill the President but that 2001 Inauguration chart looked especially ominous.

Both Bush's first (view chart) and second Inauguration charts (view chart) are loaded on this site. We will continue more discussion of the 2005 Inauguration later on. Let it suffice for the moment to pick out a few highlights.

The 2005 chart (view chart) shows extreme stress in many areas. It shows (MOON in GEMINI conjunct the U.S. URANUS) a jittery and divided public. It shows probable continuing great loss of life in foreign places (MARS and PLUTO in SAGITTARIUS in the 8th house) as well as possible great financial expenditures and losses. It shows a worried public attitude (SATURN on the U.S. MERCURY). Most intensely, it shows the stress of the re-structuring of institutions. (SATURN in such a close and difficult QUINCUNX aspect to PLUTO).

The 2005 chart does have some positive aspects, most notably a strongly placed JUPITER (almost STATIONARY when a planet is most powerful) in good aspect to MARS. This repeats a MARS-JUPITER theme in President Bush's own chart and should indicate some successes in behind the scenes negotiations for peace (JUPITER in LIBRA wants peace and MARS "rules" the area signifying secret (12th house) negotiations.)

To be continued. Everyone knows that the world is in a perilous place today, and it looks as though the challenges do not abate.
